Article Types We Accept
Research Articles
Length: 6,000-8,000 words
Requirements: Original empirical research with clear methodology,
results, and discussion sections.
Review Articles
Length: 5,000-7,000 words
Requirements: Comprehensive analysis of existing literature
on a specific topic with critical evaluation.
Theoretical Papers
Length: 4,000-6,000 words
Requirements: Original theoretical contributions to media
and communication theory.
Case Studies
Length: 3,000-5,000 words
Requirements: In-depth analysis of specific media phenomena,
organizations, or practices.
Book Reviews
Length: 1,000-1,500 words
Requirements: Critical evaluation of recent publications
relevant to media studies.
Short Communications
Length: 1,500-3,000 words
Requirements: Brief reports on preliminary findings,
methodological innovations, or timely topics.
Formatting Guidelines
- File Format: Microsoft Word (.docx) or rich text format (.rtf)
- Font: Times New Roman, 12-point
- Spacing: Double-spaced throughout
- Margins: 1 inch (2.5 cm) on all sides
- Page Numbers: Bottom center of each page
- Language: Clear, concise academic English
- Article Title: Concise and descriptive (maximum 15 words)
- Author Information: Full names, affiliations, and contact details
- ORCID IDs: Required for all authors
- Corresponding Author: Clearly designated with email address
- Abstract: 150-250 words summarizing the study
- Keywords: 4-6 keywords for indexing purposes
- Style: APA 7th Edition format
- In-text Citations: (Author, Year) or (Author, Year, p. #)
- Reference List: Alphabetical order by first author's surname
- DOIs: Include DOIs for all sources when available
- URLs: Include access dates for web sources
- Minimum References: At least 20 current, relevant sources
- Quality: High-resolution images (minimum 300 DPI)
- Format: JPEG, PNG, or TIFF for figures
- Captions: Descriptive captions for all figures and tables
- Placement: Reference in text, place after first mention
- Permissions: Obtain rights for copyrighted materials
- Accessibility: Alt text descriptions for screen readers

Initial Submission
Your manuscript is submitted and assigned to an editor. You will receive a confirmation email with your submission ID.
Within 24 hoursEditorial Screening
The editor reviews your submission for scope, quality, and adherence to guidelines. Manuscripts may be desk-rejected at this stage.
1-2 weeksPeer Review
Manuscripts passing initial screening are sent to expert reviewers. We use double-blind peer review process.
6-8 weeksEditorial Decision
Based on reviewer feedback, the editor makes a decision: accept, minor revisions, major revisions, or reject.
1-2 weeks after reviewsRevision (if needed)
Authors have the opportunity to revise their manuscript based on reviewer and editor feedback.
Author determinedPublication
Accepted manuscripts undergo copyediting, proofreading, and final formatting before online publication.
4-6 weeksImportant Policies
Plagiarism Policy
All submissions are checked for plagiarism. Manuscripts with significant overlap with published work will be rejected. Proper attribution is required for all sources.
Revision Policy
Authors have 60 days to submit major revisions and 30 days for minor revisions. Extensions may be granted upon request with valid justification.
Withdrawal Policy
Authors may withdraw submissions before peer review begins. Withdrawal during review requires editor approval and may affect future submissions.
Confidentiality
All submissions are treated confidentially. Reviewers and editors sign confidentiality agreements. Manuscripts are not shared without permission.
